Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has offered to support controversial entertainer DJ Chicken as he faces prosecution over an alleged threat against Seyi Tinubu.
Sowore said he was ready to assist if anyone could connect him with DJ Chicken’s family or relatives, adding that he wanted to challenge what he described as the charges against the entertainer.
He maintained that DJ Chicken should not remain behind bars while the case continues.
In a statement, Sowore said:
“If anyone knows how to reach DJ Chicken’s family or relatives, I will be happy to advocate for him and help him challenge the burdensome charges brought against him by the jobless Police. It is appalling that this Tinubu regime continues to direct its prosecutorial powers against so many young Nigerians.
I want to help get DJ Chicken out of prison because I do not believe he deserves to spend a day behind bars; he is entitled to his liberty under the law. It is Seyi Tinubu who ships young ladies on private jets to Abuja who are drggd in sx-crzed parties in Abuja, who needs to be in prison.”
DJ Chicken, whose real name is Ademola Abiodun, was arrested after a video allegedly showing him threatening Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, surfaced online. Although the video was later deleted, the incident led to his arrest and an ongoing court case.
