Actor Tobi Makinde has dismissed claims that comedian Kamo State replaced him in Funke Akindele’s inner circle, saying the rumours are completely false.
Speaking during a recent interview on Yanga 89.9 FM, Makinde explained that he was surprised by the online speculation, especially because he was the person who introduced Kamo State to the award-winning actress and filmmaker.
“It was through me Kamo State met actress Funke Akindele. I see when lots of people were saying it was Kamo that took my place at Madam Funke Akindele’s side,” he said.
Makinde stressed that there was never any rivalry between them, insisting the narrative circulating on social media does not reflect what actually happened.
His comments come amid months of speculation about his relationship with Funke Akindele, particularly after the actress was absent from his wedding, leading to rumours that the pair had fallen out.
