Tonto Dikeh has taken a new step in her faith journey with the launch of the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, popularly known as NWPT.
The Nollywood actress introduced the new spiritual movement to the public on Sunday through her Instagram page, describing it as an interdenominational platform for believers seeking a deeper experience with God.
NWPT is built around the message in Mark 2:22, which says, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”
The movement says it is designed for Christians who desire more than what it describes as lukewarm faith, with a focus on revival, spiritual growth, transformation and a stronger awareness of God’s presence.
Its stated vision is to inspire a worldwide awakening among devoted believers who will live out what the movement describes as the power, purity and presence of God while helping to establish Christ’s Kingdom.
NWPT also plans to provide a platform centred on prayer, revival and apostolic training. According to its mission, the movement will focus on developing spiritual watchmen, encouraging believers to exercise their spiritual gifts, promoting evangelism and helping those in bondage find freedom through the Holy Spirit.
Tonto stressed that NWPT should not be mistaken for a regular church. Describing the nature of the gathering, she said:
“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God. A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom.”
The new movement will hold its weekly fellowship every Friday at 6:00pm.
