Toyin Abraham has refuted claims linking her to the alleged re-arrest of X influencer Big Ayo, insisting she had no role in any such incident.
The actress reacted on Tuesday after a viral post suggested she was behind the reported arrest, a claim she described as false and misleading. She stated that she was on a movie set at the time and had no involvement in any action against the influencer.
“Arrest Ayo as how, pls this is fake and false news. I’m on set filming. Pls kindly disregard. I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me. Thank you and I will advise to kindly take this down pls,” she said.
The allegation was traced to a now-deleted post by an X user identified as Khan, who claimed that Big Ayo had been arrested again at the actress’s instance. The post quickly spread, reigniting conversations about her past clashes with online critics.
Another user, Prince Adeshina, later countered the claim, stating that Toyin Abraham was on a film set and had no connection to the alleged arrest. His clarification was acknowledged by the actress.
“For the attention of the general public: Toyin Abraham was at a movie location and did not arrest Ayo. We urge the general public to consider the circulating report as fake news,” he wrote.
The situation appears to have been fueled by a previous incident in July 2024, when the actress took legal action against individuals accused of cyberbullying her on social media.
