Tunde Onakoya, the founder of Chess in Slums Africa, has recorded another milestone after playing chess at the prestigious Louvre Abu Dhabi, becoming the first Nigerian to do so.
He disclosed the moment on Sunday through his social media page, highlighting the significance of the achievement.
“First Nigerian to play chess at the Louvre,” he wrote.
The accomplishment comes shortly after his recognition in Spain, where he received the Lideramos Youth Award for Social Impact in Barcelona, making him the first African to earn the honour.
He had earlier shared news of the award on his X account, expressing appreciation for the recognition.
