Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, revealed that his confidence in himself is so strong that he believes he would have found financial success even if football had never been part of his life. He recounted waking up as early as 3am to hustle during his challenging early years, a discipline that shaped his unwavering self-belief.

Speaking on a Twitch livestream with comedian Carter Efe in the early hours of Saturday, Osimhen also expressed his deep bond with Turkish club Galatasaray. He described the club as more than just a football team, saying he felt an instant connection from his arrival on loan, and joked that even his daughter has grown more attached to Galatasaray than he has.

“I get that belief in myself, even when I was in the trenches when it was tough. The way we had to hustle. There’s no legit work that you’ll call me for that you won’t meet me there around five in the morning or four or three. Wake me up, I go hustle,” Osimhen said.

He added that the mindset forged through hardship has given him the certainty that success was always inevitable. “Even if not through football, I will have money like mad. That’s the way I believe. That’s the way I believe in myself.”

Osimhen is currently in Nigeria recovering from a broken arm he sustained during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool.
