Cape Verde goalkeeper Josimar Dias, better known as Vozinha, is on the verge of completing a move to Chilean club Colo Colo after attracting widespread praise for his performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The experienced shot-stopper, 40, impressed throughout the tournament, particularly in matches against Spain, who went on to win the title, and reigning champions Argentina.
Although the deal has not yet been officially announced, Colo Colo hinted at the signing by sharing a social media post featuring what appeared to be Vozinha’s distinctive curly hairstyle, with the caption: “Bienvenido. Welcome. Bem-vindo. We look forward to seeing you at the Monumental Stadium.”
The post quickly generated excitement among fans eager to see the World Cup standout join the Chilean side.
Blanco y Negro president Aníbal Mosa later confirmed that the transfer is close to completion, revealing that the goalkeeper will soon travel to Chile for his medical before being unveiled.
“Vozinha is going to be a Colo Colo player. In the next few days, he will travel to Chile, undergo the necessary medical examinations, and then be presented here at the Estadio Monumental,” Mosa said.
He explained that the veteran earned the opportunity through his outstanding displays at the World Cup, adding that the signing is also expected to strengthen the club’s commercial profile.
