Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has made a passionate appeal for the release of social media personality Justice Crack, who has reportedly been in detention for over a week following his arrest.

In a video message addressed to Brigadier General W.E. Adegwugi, the actress pleaded for mercy, urging authorities to allow him return to his family.

She admitted that Justice Crack may have crossed a line, stressing that civilians should not interfere in military matters, but insisted that the situation had already been acknowledged.

She said:

“Good morning. Good morning, everybody. I’m making this video addressing it to Brigadier General W.E. Adi Bikini. Good morning, sir. I am humbly begging for the release of Justice Crack. We have come to understand that he’s done wrong. We have come to understand that a civilian should not dabble into military stuff…”

Speaking further, she apologised on his behalf and that of his family, friends, and associates, describing his arrest as painful given his role as a breadwinner.

She added:

“Release him back to his family… I am sorry on everybody’s behalf at this point… it is quite unfair and inhumane to take away a breadwinner from his family… times are hard in Nigeria.”

Jegede also appealed for understanding, noting that while rules may have been broken, compassion should be considered in handling the matter.
