The Canadian Hope Transformation Initiative (CHTI) has received a major boost ahead of the Kick Out Hate Crime Tru Sports (KOHCTS) Ottawa 2026 Tournament, following a generous football equipment donation from Ottawa South United (OSU).
The contribution, presented by Randy Hibbert and endorsed by Craig Stead, includes more than 60 jerseys, 60 shorts, 60 pairs of socks, five soccer balls, six corner flags and 16 training marker cones.
“We are proud to contribute towards this great project. We believe in youth development and in creating a better, safer, and healthier environment for everyone in Ottawa and Canada as a whole,” Hibbert said.
Set for August 8, 2026, the tournament will bring together youth teams and community partners, including the Ottawa Police Service, Box-2-Box Academy, NAS Long Island Deck and 2-0 Moorvale Street Academy, in a united effort to promote inclusion, teamwork and crime prevention through football.
Reacting to the support, CHTI Founder Emmanuel Tobi described the donation as an investment in young people and the future of the community.
“Beyond the equipment, this support represents a commitment to young people and the belief that sport can create positive change in our community. We sincerely appreciate Ottawa South United for partnering with us.”
Tobi also commended the Ottawa Police Service for its continued support, noting that KOHCTS remains committed to using football as a platform to unite communities, inspire young people and drive positive social change.
