Tyla has ignited conversations on social media after sharing her take on modern relationships, saying many men today seem more concerned about appearances than openly expressing love.

While chatting in a playful interview, the South African singer joked that dating has become frustrating because, in her view, many men now act like “divas.”

“Guys these days… Divas. Bedazzled divas,” she said, drawing laughter from another speaker who replied, “They’re divas!”

Asked if she preferred a reserved man or someone who openly showed interest, Tyla said she values a healthy mix of both.

“There just needs to be a balance. Like, you need to know when to be nonchalant and when to be chalant.”

She also weighed in on the idea of “simping,” suggesting that many men now avoid showing affection because they fear being mocked.

“I just think like guys don’t want to be simps anymore.

It’s kind of emb@rrassing now.”

When one of the male hosts said he didn’t mind being a simp, Tyla applauded the mindset and urged men not to be ashamed of loving their partners.

“Own it. If you love your woman, own it.”

The singer’s comments have since fueled widespread reactions online, with many people sharing differing opinions on whether men have become more emotionally guarded in today’s dating scene.
