Veteran Nigerian Juju and highlife singer Lady Iyun Ajilore, popularly known as Saint Janet, has died following a brief illness.

The musician, widely recognised as the “General Overseer of Sinners Chapel” and fondly referred to as the “G.O of Saint Bottles Cathedral,” reportedly passed away in the early hours of Sunday, August 2, 2026.

The news of her death was made public by publisher and socialite Femi Davies, who confirmed the development through posts on his social media pages.

Saint Janet carved out a distinctive identity in Nigeria’s music industry with her unconventional style, often opening her songs with gospel-inspired themes before transitioning into Juju and highlife music with candid, adult-themed lyrics.

She gained widespread recognition through albums including Faaji Plus and 5G Plus, both of which generated significant attention for their bold content and earned her a strong following among fans.
