Afrobeats singer Ruger has opened up about a missed opportunity that he still considers one of his biggest career regrets, involving Nollywood star Funke Akindele.
Speaking in an interview with VJ Adams, Ruger said he later realised the actress had reached out to him on social media about featuring in one of her film projects after noticing she often engaged with his music online. Unfortunately, he said he did not see the message at the time, and by the time he eventually came across it, the opportunity had already slipped away.
He admitted the experience still bothers him, describing it as a painful missed chance.
Ruger added that he is open to exploring acting in the future, though he believes it may be demanding for him due to his dislike for long shooting schedules. However, he noted that he would still commit to roles that allow him fully express his creativity if the script is interesting enough.
