A social media exchange between Afrobeats star Davido and activist Omoyele Sowore has taken a heated turn after Sowore criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The disagreement started when Sowore attacked the governor during a live television appearance, claiming Adeleke lacked the ability to lead the state and accusing his administration of failing to provide basic infrastructure in Osogbo.
Sowore said:
“Demola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 has no brains. Has nothing upstairs. The state capital, Osogbo looks like a war zone with no basic infrastructure.”
Davido, who is Adeleke’s nephew, responded to Sowore’s remarks on X with just one word: “Arindin.”
However, Sowore quickly fired back, directing his response at Davido’s uncle and questioning Adeleke’s educational background and political decisions.
“The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01, who had to go back and obtain the equivalent of a GED after he had already served as a Nigerian Senator,” Sowore wrote.
He also took aim at the governor’s political relationship with President Bola Tinubu, alleging that Adeleke’s decision to support Tinubu was motivated by political loyalty and personal interests.
Sowore further accused the Adeleke family of treating Osun State as a source of money for their lifestyle and described the political class as “oppressive, corrupt, incompetent, and entitled spoilt brats.”
He concluded his response with a warning that Nigerians would eventually demand change.
“But the tables will turn. The Nigerian people will not endure this forever. #RevolutionNOW,” he wrote.
