Natasha Osawaru, wife of music legend 2Baba, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

The Edo State House of Assembly member officially joined the party alongside other supporters at the NDC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, according to a video shared on the party’s Facebook page.

Hours before confirming her defection, the 31-year-old lawmaker announced her intention to seek re-election for the Egor Constituency seat in 2027. Sharing the update on Instagram, Natasha said she would be contesting under the NDC platform, which she described as a people-oriented party.

In a campaign flyer making rounds online, the lawmaker humorously interpreted the party’s acronym, NDC, as “Natasha Don Come.”

She expressed confidence that her partnership with the party and backing from her constituents would usher in a better Edo State.

Natasha also promised to focus on the welfare of her people, youth empowerment, security, and quality governance if re-elected into the Assembly.

The lawmaker further declared support for the presidential ambition of former Labour Party candidate Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 elections.

Sharing a photo with Obi, she urged Nigerians to resist oppression.

“Nigerians stand up, war against the oppressors,” she wrote.

She also shared photos of Obi alongside former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Her endorsement of Obi and Kwankwaso came just days after both politicians aligned with the NDC movement.
