Actor Daniel Etim Effiong has stirred reactions online after sharing his opinion on how married couples should handle issues of infidelity.

Speaking on relationships and marriage, Daniel said he believes the first response to a cheating partner should not automatically be anger or separation, but an attempt to understand what may have led to the situation and how both partners can work through it together.

According to him, cheating should be approached as a problem within the marriage that needs healing and support, rather than something that immediately destroys the relationship.

“The first approach to your partner m3ssing up in a marriage should be to come from a place of ‘how can I help you’. You should ask how can I help you out of this problem. If they cheat on you, they are in a prblem, so you should ask yourself how you can help them get out of that problem, and then we can start healing.

“You should think about how you can help him out of that prblem, so he can get out of it, so that you both can solve it together. Love is not self-seeking. ‎‎Don’t be self-seeking about it. Cheating is an offense like lying, stealing, or talking to you anyhow.”

The actor’s comments have since sparked conversations on social media, with many sharing mixed reactions over his view that infidelity should be handled with understanding and teamwork rather than immediate condemnation.
