Spyro has expressed deep concern over rising insecurity in the country, following reports of bandit attacks, including the alleged beheading of a teacher in Ogbomoso and the abduction of school children.
The singer said the incidents have left him unsettled, questioning what he described as silence from influential religious leaders and public figures who are often vocal during national tragedies.
He also noted that the situation affected his personal routine and emotional state, revealing that he was unable to attend church on Sunday due to fear and distress caused by the reports.
Spyro laments over rising insecurity and public silence from influential figures.
“Someone was beh£d£d on camera, school children were taken away and we don’t even know where they are, yet our spiritual leaders are silent.”
He questioned the absence of responses from prominent clerics and religious leaders.
“Where is Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Oyedepo, Pastor Kumuyi, Pastor Bolaji, Jerry Eze, etc who have great influence. Why are they not saying anything?”.
The singer said the situation had also affected his personal life and routine.
“I couldn’t even go to church on Sunday. Where are the big alfas and sheikhs? Why are the celebrities silent? We don’t care about each other. It can’t be business as usual.”
