Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has stirred reactions online after humorously calling out international music stars Drake, Central Cee, Future and Gunna for allegedly failing to promote his new song, “Chanel.”

The rapper jokingly accused the artistes of ignoring his latest release despite claiming he supports their music whenever they drop new projects.

“i think this industry is very wicked because since i dropped Chanel, none of my peers have posted it @drake i posted yours last week, @centralcee @1future @1Gunna Gunna I support you when you drop but when i put out the biggest song of the summer its crickets, the double standards,” he wrote.

His post quickly went viral, with many fans finding humour in the fact that the rappers he mentioned are major American and British stars who are not directly connected to the Nigerian music industry.

Several social media users described the post as sarcasm, noting that Blaqbonez is known for his playful online personality and controversial jokes. Others joined in the banter, joking that Drake and Future were probably too busy to notice the complaint.

The post has since generated conversations online, with fans debating whether Nigerian artistes should expect support from international stars for every release.
