Singer Rudeboy’s wife, Ivy Ifeoma, has advised women to focus on building their own wealth instead of making the pursuit of a rich husband a top priority.
Speaking on marriage and financial stability, Ifeoma said that although marrying a wealthy man may come with certain benefits, it should not be the main reason for entering a relationship.
She stressed that a partner’s riches do not automatically belong to their spouse, adding that generosity and character are more important qualities to look for in marriage.
“This is my take on the idea of marrying a rich man and before you come for me, know that I was a millionaire before I met this man.
“To be honest, marrying a rich man should not be anybody’s primary goal. Because why would you even have the primary goal of marrying somebody else because they are rich, at the end of the day it’s their money, not your money. I’d rather you stay in marriage with a generous person. But don’t get me wrong but marrying rich is a very good add-on because it can open doors of opportunities for you, but what I will tell you to do as a woman is to get rich….”
According to her, women who achieve financial independence enjoy greater security and freedom, making personal success a more worthwhile goal than depending on a spouse’s financial status.
