Nana Otedola, wife of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has clarified her heritage during a heartfelt conversation with her pregnant daughter, Temi Otedola.

In the intimate moment, which recently surfaced online, Nana addressed long-standing speculation about her nationality, stating unequivocally that she is Nigerian and traces her roots to Abeokuta in Ogun State.

“To clear the room for everybody, I’m an Egba woman, and that’s the part I’ll gladly claim as a Nigerian. I am not a Ghanaian; my roots are in Abeokuta,” she said.

Although she was born and raised in Kaduna State, where she spent a significant part of her early life, Nana explained that her ancestral origin is firmly rooted in Abeokuta among the Egba people of Yorubaland.

The conversation carried a warm and reflective tone, coming at a special moment for the family as Temi prepares to welcome her first child. Rather than a formal public declaration, Nana’s remarks appeared to be a mother sharing her history and identity with the next generation while putting to rest years of speculation about her background.
