Actor Yul Edochie has reacted to claims by Emmanuel Obasi, the ex-husband of Judy Austin, who alleged that he has been prevented from seeing his children for years.
Obasi had earlier accused unnamed individuals of denying him access to his children and suggested that Yul may have played a role in the situation.
Responding to the allegation, Yul denied having any involvement, insisting that he has never stood in the way of any parent seeking access to their children.
According to the actor, the matter is strictly between Judy Austin and her former husband and should be resolved by the two of them without dragging him into the controversy.
He said he decided to address the issue after receiving several messages from people who believed he was responsible for preventing Obasi from seeing his children.
“I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children,” Yul stated, adding that much of what is being circulated online is based on assumptions and misinformation.
The actor further argued that social media often magnifies personal disputes and creates narratives that do not accurately reflect reality.
He maintained that if Emmanuel Obasi wants to reconnect with his children, the proper thing to do is to speak directly with Judy Austin.
“Tell him to call his ex wife, if he wants to see or take his children, let them discuss it. He has her number. It has nothing to do with me,” he said.
