Frank Edoho has reacted after a resurfaced rap video of him began trending on X (formerly Twitter), pulling renewed attention amid ongoing online discussions about his personal life and past marital controversy involving his ex-wife, Sandra, and allegations connecting her to singer Chike.
The old clip, which has been widely circulated, was reshared by social media users who attached a new narrative to it, including claims that he “discovered his talent because of Chike.” The interpretation quickly gained traction online and became part of the wider conversation around the Edoho family saga and the alleged involvement of Chike in the controversy.
However, Frank Edoho moved to dismiss the claims, clarifying that the video is not recent and has been taken out of context. According to him, the freestyle was recorded about two years ago as part of a “Ruggedman challenge” he joined alongside several celebrities.
He further explained that the clip was simply for fun, stressing that he has no professional music background and was never trying to present himself as a rapper.
“I did this Ruggedman challenge with Celebs like Macaroni, Iyabo Ojo, Ikeduba and others- TWO YEARS AGO. My Brother Bassey and I used to rap in UNICAL. We did freestyles for fun.
Those bars don’t even stack up to the ones by the least Rapper in Nigeria.
I am not a Musician.”
