Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared how she met her husband, revealing that she felt a spiritual conviction that he was the man she would eventually marry the very first day they met.
Speaking in a recent interview with DANG, she said she never grew up with pressure about marriage and did not spend her early years fantasising about it.
“I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky,” she said.
Kadiri explained that she met her husband at work, where he approached her and struck up a conversation. Although she was initially uninterested, she eventually engaged him, and they spoke about business and other topics.
She revealed that as she was leaving, she felt a strong inner conviction that he was the man she would marry.
“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband,” she said.
Interestingly, she added that she blocked him two days later, but he later went out of his way to reconnect with her.
“Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me. Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted,” she added.
The actress also disclosed that she was in another relationship at the time but eventually chose to go on a date with him, noting that being open about her relationship journey helped her stay grounded.
