Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general election.

The lawmaker was presented with her Certificate of Return on Wednesday at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, confirming her nomination to contest for the seat once again.

The presentation ceremony was attended by top party officials, including PDP National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed, National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and other candidates of the party.

Speaking after receiving the certificate, Akpoti-Uduaghan described it as more than just a political document, saying it represented the confidence reposed in her by party members and supporters.

“This Certificate of Return is not just a document; it is a symbol of the trust and confidence that our party members and the people have placed in me. I accept it with humility, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to serve,” she said.

Akpoti-Uduaghan, who currently serves as the senator representing Kogi Central, pledged to continue championing effective representation, good governance, and policies aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.

Her emergence sets the stage for another closely watched senatorial contest in Kogi State as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum.
