Streamer and content creator Peller has fired back once again at rapper Ycee, saying the criticism directed at him will not derail his career.
Speaking during a livestream, Peller said he has become tired of the constant attacks, claiming some people are hoping to see him fail and quit creating content.
He also addressed Ycee directly, saying although he is familiar with the rapper’s songs, he would not recognize him if they met face to face.
Peller further alleged that some celebrities who criticize him publicly had previously approached him for promotional deals. According to him, they only began shading him after his management sent them his rate card and they realized they could not afford his fees.
He said:
“Your hatr£d got nothing on me. I sw£@r to God, I’m frustrat£d. People want me to be thinking. They want me to quit my career. Am I the only one?”
“I know Ycee’s music but I don’t know his face.”
“These celebrities message me for PR but it’s my management that always reply them and give them my rate card; when they see that they can’t pay me because it’s too expensive, they go on podcast to shade me.”
Peller’s latest remarks come after Ycee, during an appearance on the Afropolitan Podcast, described him as part of an “Olodo uprising.” The rapper argued that society no longer celebrates academic excellence and instead rewards ignorance, using Peller as an example.
The debate has since sparked reactions across the entertainment industry, with rapper Ladipoe disagreeing with Ycee’s position, stating that education and intelligence are not the same, and that even highly educated people can confidently spread misinformation.
