Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been taken into custody at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while preparing to travel to Abuja on a chartered flight.
Reports indicate that the arrest took place on Wednesday as the former minister was at the airport ahead of his scheduled departure.
According to Premium Times, sources said Nnaji is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), where he will be questioned over an ongoing investigation.
The anti-corruption agency has reportedly been investigating the former minister since he stepped down from office last year following allegations that he forged his academic certificates.
