Content creator Layi Wasabi has revealed that his relationship with Nigerian music star Davido began long before he became famous.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Layi shared that he first met Davido through the singer’s cousin, Tunji Adeleke. He said what started as an introduction eventually developed into a lasting friendship.
According to Layi, they have remained in contact over the years, and Davido has consistently supported him throughout his journey.
“I’ve been hanging out with Davido even before I blew up. I met him through his cousin Tunji Adeleke, and he has been very supportive. Adelekes are good people.”
Layi added that Davido’s encouragement did not begin after he became successful, stressing that the singer had been in his corner from the very beginning.
