A new video has surfaced showing Mrs. Alamu, the abducted school principal, speaking from captivity and rejecting claims circulating online about the alleged demands of her abductors.

In the footage, she clarified that reports suggesting the kidnappers are demanding Sharia law implementation, ransom money, or weapons are false and have only created confusion around the situation.

She explained that the false narratives were making their ordeal more complicated and urged the public not to politicise their situation.

According to her, the abductors have not forced any religious practice on the captives and have not made demands for money or arms.

She said:

“Today makes it the 24th day that we have been in this place and it seems that some people are making our problems to be complicated already… these are not true. They are just trying to create problems for us… they are not asking for Sharia law, they are not asking for money, they are not asking for weapons. All they want is the release of some people.”

Mrs. Alamu further appealed to Nigerians to share the message widely, stressing that misinformation could affect efforts aimed at securing their release.

She maintained that the only demand made by the abductors is the release of certain detained individuals, contrary to widely circulated claims.
