Gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori has appealed to Nigerians to keep praying for the teachers and schoolchildren recently abducted in Oyo State, saying spiritual support is crucial in efforts to secure their release.

Speaking on the disturbing incident, Alaseyori maintained that the Federal Government and security agencies are making efforts to tackle insecurity and rescue victims of abduction. However, she stressed that prayers remain necessary because security operations alone may not be enough.

According to her, there are situations where security personnel may be deployed to locate criminals but still fail to find them, making divine intervention essential.

“We need to pray, You can’t say the President and our armed forces are not working, they’re working. They might have sent security agents to the forest and something will just cover their eyes and won’t allow them see the terrorist, that’s where prayers come in.”

The gospel artiste urged Nigerians to unite in prayer for the safe return of the kidnapped children and teachers, expressing faith that they would soon regain their freedom and reunite with their loved ones.
