Isaac Fayose has publicly criticised his elder brother, former Ayodele Fayose, over comments linking the Oyo State Government to a recent kidnapping incident in the state.
Responding to the former governor’s remarks, Isaac argued that it was unfair to suggest government involvement in the crime, questioning why similar accusations were not directed at the Ekiti State Government whenever kidnappings occurred in Ekiti.
He said he was embarrassed by the interview and urged public office holders, especially former governors, to exercise caution when commenting on security-related issues.
Expressing his displeasure, Isaac stated:
“Shame caught me after watching my brother’s interview last night.
When people were kidnapped in our state, Ekiti, why didn’t you accuse the governor? Why are you now saying that the Governor of Oyo State might have a hand in the Oyo kidnapping?
My brother, if you don’t have anything meaningful to say, keep quiet like other former governors.”
