Afrobeats heavyweights Asake and Wizkid have achieved another streaming milestone as their song “MMS” has now amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify.
The feat sees Asake earn his eighth song to cross the 100-million mark on the platform, while Wizkid extends his record with a 17th track reaching the milestone.
“MMS,” a standout record from Asake’s Lungu Boy album released in August 2024, quickly became a fan favourite for its blend of Asake’s energetic sound and Wizkid’s smooth delivery.
The song’s success also earned it a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards, highlighting its impact beyond Africa.
With over 100 million streams, “MMS” remains the biggest song on Lungu Boy and adds to the duo’s growing list of achievements following the release of their collaborative project, Real Vol. 1 EP, in January 2026.
The EP, which includes tracks such as “Jogodo,” enjoyed strong commercial success and topped music charts in several countries, further strengthening Asake and Wizkid’s influence on the global music scene.
