Omowunmi Aloba, the wife of late singer Mohbad, has shared more details about her troubled relationship with her father-in-law, saying their issues started long before the artist’s death.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Wunmi revealed that she and Mohbad’s father were once very close, but things changed after she gave birth to her son, Liam.
She dismissed claims that the family crisis only began after Mohbad passed away, insisting that tensions had already existed within the family before then.
“Baba Mohbad wants something I can’t give him, he wants the DNA of my child to be negative,” she stated.
Wunmi also alleged that Mohbad’s father became unhappy after the singer reconciled with his mother, claiming the situation contributed to the ongoing family dispute.
According to her, she initially tried to settle the misunderstanding and even reached out to know what she had done wrong, but later came to believe the disagreement was linked to Mohbad’s properties and royalties.
She further claimed that her father-in-law was trying to intimidate or take advantage of her because she is younger while he is respected as the head of the family.
Wunmi added that peace may be difficult to achieve because the one thing Mohbad’s father allegedly expects from her is not something she can provide.
