Tufab, an aide to Afrobeats star Wizkid, has lashed out at streamer and comedian Carter Efe over his continued comments about the singer.
The reaction followed Carter Efe’s statement during a livestream at E-Money’s house, where he had gone to receive a ₦50 million cheque after defeating Portable in a celebrity boxing match. During the session, Carter jokingly mentioned that he would like to fight Wizkid next.
His comment did not sit well with Tufab, who took to X to issue a strong warning, accusing Carter Efe of repeatedly using Wizkid’s name for clout despite several warnings to stop.
“Carter leave wizkid out of our mouth. I don tell u more than 5 times. U promise last time say u go stop. This is not clout. Na until everywhere blur for u, u go understand. Why u no dey chase clout with other people. Leave Wizkid alone !”
Tufab also said the situation had stopped being funny, insisting that Wizkid’s calm nature was the reason many people felt comfortable disrespecting him.
“This thing no even funny anymore… but I no even blame am, na big wiz wey too quiet and nobody does anything about disrespect.”
He further warned that there would be no more patience regarding the matter.
“There’s no more last warning. Carter Efe, leave Big Wiz out of ur mouth. The people wey you dey respect and regard dey fear Wizkid nd honor him so much, but u continue to disrespect him. Dem don warn u tire… u no dy hear. U think say e funny!”
Tufab went on to remind Carter Efe that Wizkid had once supported him when others were not paying attention to him.
“Wizkid was the first person to help you, every other person using u for clout. Leave him alone !!!”
He concluded by stating that Wizkid himself would likely ignore the situation, but suggested that fans of the singer may not continue to tolerate the repeated comments.
“The truth is Wizkid is not going to do anything about it. Man doesn’t care about anythin. I’m sure he sees Carter like a lint on a cap. It’s the fans that will handle the disrespect or it won’t stop. It’s left to FC.”
