Burna Boy has given fans a glimpse of his reunion with Colombian singer Shakira as both stars prepare to headline the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA World Cup final.

The Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste shared a video on X on Friday showing him and Shakira exchanging a warm hug and smiles during rehearsals at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where Sunday’s final will be played.

Sharing the clip, Burna Boy wrote: “Sunday Prep! @shakira See you at the @FIFAWorldCup Final! Dai dai, ikó, dale, allez, let’s go!”

FIFA earlier announced that the duo will perform “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, in the tournament’s inaugural Super Bowl-style halftime show.

The halftime interval is expected to last about 30 minutes instead of the usual 15, allowing time for the live performance alongside the traditional studio analysis.

The entertainment lineup will also feature BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus with Coldplay, and appearances by characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets. FIFA said the show will also promote global education initiatives for children.

Spain and Argentina are set to battle for the World Cup title on Sunday.

Burna Boy and Shakira previously performed “Dai Dai” during the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City, where the song made its debut as the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
