Nana Otedola has shared how surprised she was when she found out that her daughter, Temi Otedola, and her husband, singer Mr Eazi, were expecting their first child shortly after getting married.
Speaking on the latest episode of the couple’s “How Far” podcast, Nana said she had expected the newlyweds to spend a few years travelling and enjoying married life before starting a family.
“When I heard that there was a baby, I was a little bit shocked because I assumed you guys were going to have like three years of travelling, being married,” she said.
According to Nana, Temi reminded her that she and Mr Eazi had already spent five years together before tying the knot.
“She said to me, ‘Mom, we’ve dated for five years, we’ve done all of that.’ So I was like, ‘Okay.’ But then now I’ve learned not to be presumptuous about you guys anymore from your wedding,” she added.
Nana said the conversation changed her perspective and made her realise that the couple had already experienced the stage she thought still lay ahead of them.
She also expressed her admiration for their relationship, saying they complement each other well.
“We love it. And I am going to say that you actually do well for each other,” she said.
