The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai in the sum of N100 million.
Delivering the ruling on Monday, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik also ordered that he must produce one surety in the same amount as part of the bail conditions.
The court directed that the surety must reside within Maitama or Asokoro in Abuja and is required to submit the original Certificate of Occupancy of a landed property to the court registry.
Justice Abdulmalik further ruled that the surety must be a federal civil servant not below Grade Level 17 and must present evidence of salary payments for at least three months.
She added that all documents submitted must be verified through a letter from the surety’s bank manager within the court’s jurisdiction.
