Popular TikToker Peller has been granted ₦500,000 bail after being arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court over an alleged confrontation with police officers on Lagos’ Coastal Road.

Peller and his associate, Bello Oladipo, were charged with three offences, including allegedly obstructing police officers from performing their lawful duties, resisting arrest, and engaging in conduct likely to disturb public peace by allegedly threatening and recording officers while they were on duty.

The charges stem from an incident on July 2, when police reportedly stopped Peller for driving a vehicle without a number plate. He reportedly told officers the car had just been purchased, but they directed him to accompany them to the police station.

The prosecution alleged that the duo resisted ASP Agbede Victor and three other officers during the incident, preventing them from carrying out their official responsibilities.

Peller and Oladipo pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

The court subsequently granted each of them bail in the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties. It also ruled that one of the sureties must be a blood relative and ordered both defendants to provide tax clearance certificates for the past two years before meeting their bail conditions.
