Media personality Daddy Freeze has fired back at reality TV star Cross Okonkwo after the latter defended Christianity and cautioned him against speaking negatively about religious leaders.

The exchange began when Cross reacted to Daddy Freeze’s criticism of some pastors, urging him to stop attacking men and women of God.

“Daddy freeze with due respect sometimes keep your mouth shut 🤫. If you don’t know any thing about our father Jesus Christ. Don’t talk. And leave men and women of GOD out of your mouth,” Cross wrote.

Daddy Freeze, however, responded by throwing down a public challenge to those who claim to possess divine healing powers.

He announced that he was willing to stake ₦50 million and raise another ₦50 million from supporters, bringing the total to ₦100 million, if any pastor could heal just one physically disabled person from a group of 50 people he would provide.

According to him, if miracles and faith healing are real, they should be demonstrable in a transparent and verifiable setting.

“Cross, I hereby challenge you, I put 50 million down and I’ll raise another 50 million from my people making 100 million if your so called men of God can heal just one cripple out of 50 cripples that I will provide,” he said.

He went on to question why supernatural intervention appears absent in the face of Nigeria’s security challenges and the suffering of many citizens.

“You can’t tell me that out of 50, you can’t find one that has faith. Children are in the bush men of God cannot see where they are let alone to pray for them to come out. Young people are kpaing. In John chapter 11 Christ raised Lazarus…” he added.

The exchange has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some backing Daddy Freeze’s call for proof of miracles, while others defended religious leaders and accused him of being disrespectful to the Christian faith.
