Paris Saint-Germain have added Spanish forward Ferran Torres to their squad after reaching an agreement with Barcelona for the 26-year-old.
The French club reportedly paid €50 million ($58 million) to secure the services of the striker, who has signed a contract running until 2031.
The transfer sees Torres link up again with Luis Enrique, who was the coach of Spain when he handed the forward his first senior international appearance against Germany in the Nations League in 2020.
Torres leaves Barcelona after winning three La Liga titles during his time at the club. He made 207 appearances and scored 65 goals, including a goal in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey final triumph over Real Madrid in 2025.
The former Valencia and Manchester City player has also established himself as an important member of the Spanish national team, earning 65 caps.
Torres, popularly known as “The Shark”, featured as a substitute in last month’s World Cup final before finding the net during extra time to secure victory and deny Argentina the chance to defend their world title.
