A multi-storey hospital building painted white in Calabar has suffered partial structural damage following heavy rainfall and soil erosion that reportedly weakened the ground supporting its foundation.
Footage circulating online showed large portions of concrete left suspended, with some of the building’s support columns visibly exposed. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident..
Areas such as Unicem and Diamond Hill have also been identified as locations vulnerable to erosion-related land instability.
