Music video director TG Omori has expressed frustration over his encounters with Lagos street touts, popularly known as agberos, describing their behaviour as so extreme it has changed how he moves around the city.
Taking to X, he said the repeated harassment in traffic pushed him to stop using his luxury cars and switch to a smaller vehicle in a bid to avoid stress on Lagos roads.
“This traffic thugs really bullied me to park my cars and buy a small Hyundai to find peace in this Lagos roads,” he wrote.
In another post, he recounted a troubling experience where he said he was rushing to the hospital during an emergency when he was still stopped despite being in his Mercedes G-Wagon.
“One time I was rushing to the hospital for an emergency, back seat in my Gwagon this niggas blocked my car, chased it down traffic till I had to make a transfer,” he added.
His comments come shortly after singer Mavo reportedly had a similar experience, where agberos allegedly harassed him in traffic and stoned his car.
