Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has called on Yoruba leaders, including Sunday Igboho and Gani Adams, to intensify efforts in tackling insecurity and kidnapping across the South-West.

He made the appeal during a live musical performance at the 50th birthday celebration of Alhaja Modinat Adunni Akinsanya, wife of the NURTW National President, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo).

While performing, K1 urged Sunday Igboho to engage Gani Adams and other key stakeholders, stressing the need for stronger collective action to defend Yorubaland amid rising cases of kidnapping and insecurity in the region.

He also advised Yoruba leaders not to relent in their efforts to maintain peace, noting that they should not leave President Bola Ahmed Tinubu alone in addressing the country’s security challenges, as the issue affects both Nigerians and the Yoruba people.

K1 further called for unity among Yoruba security groups across the South-West, encouraging them to take more active roles in supporting ongoing efforts to secure the region.

He also urged state governors to deepen collaboration with security agencies, including the police and military, to curb criminal activities and protect lives and property.
