Doris Ogala, actress and the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship flagbearer for Abia State in the 2027 election, has recovered after suffering a health scare that left her unconscious.

The incident occurred on Friday in Umuahia, where she reportedly collapsed during a consultation and was immediately taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) for urgent medical attention.

Sharing an update from the hospital, Ogala disclosed that she had lost consciousness but was later stabilised by medical personnel.

“I was rushed to FMC Umuahia. I lost consciousness. Glory to God I am stabilised now,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a video recorded at the facility.

Despite the ordeal, the actress was seen interacting with fellow patients and hospital workers. In clips circulating online, she offered prayers and encouragement to people receiving treatment at the centre.

Ogala recently emerged as the AAC candidate for the 2027 Abia governorship race and has expressed confidence in her ability to challenge incumbent Governor Alex Otti. She has pledged to focus on economic expansion, employment opportunities and people-centred governance if elected.
