Nigerian singer Khaid has spoken about the major impact rapper and music executive Olamide had on his life and early career, revealing that the YBNL boss supported him financially by paying his house rent for two years.

The 21-year-old artiste, whose real name is Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, reflected on the assistance he received in his formative years in the music industry, describing Olamide as a father figure who stepped in at a crucial time.

According to him, one of the most significant acts of kindness he experienced was Olamide covering the rent of his apartment for two years, a gesture he said changed his life positively.

“Olamide is my dad. He paid 2 years rent for the apartment I live in right now.”

Olamide, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nigerian music, has built a reputation for discovering and nurturing young talents through his YBNL Nation label. Over the years, he has helped launch the careers of several successful artists, including Asake and others who have gone on to achieve mainstream success.
