The husband of Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the principal who was abducted by bandits in Oyo State, has made an emotional appeal to Governor Seyi Makinde, urging him to intensify efforts to secure the release of his wife and other victims kidnapped in Oriire Local Government Area.

Mrs. Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esinele/Ahoro-Esinle, was among several people taken hostage after armed men reportedly invaded schools in the Ogbomoso area earlier this month. The incident, which left staff members and students at the mercy of the attackers, has continued to raise concerns among residents.

Speaking on the ordeal, Professor Alamu pleaded with the state government and security agencies to act swiftly to ensure the safe return of the victims.

“I am the husband of the principal, Mrs. Alamu, of Oriire Community High School in Oyo State that was kidnapped a few days ago. The bandits have been circulating her videos on social media. I know Governor Seyi Makinde has been working for them to be rescued, but I am on my knees begging again that he should intensify more effort. Please, I want my wife and other victims to be rescued quickly and alive,” he said.

Governor Makinde had earlier visited the affected community and met with families of those abducted, assuring them that security agencies were making every effort to secure the victims’ safe release.
