Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has responded after influencer Mandy Kiss accused her of ruining her life and affecting her career following advice she gave her to stop what she described as a “wayward lifestyle,” alongside Toyin Abraham.

The controversy began after Mandy Kiss called out both actresses online, blaming them for her alleged setbacks. However, Awelewa has now dismissed the claims, insisting she only gave advice out of concern, especially regarding the use of God’s name in vulgar language.

In her response, she maintained that no one can be held responsible for another person’s failure or progress.

“No one is responsible for anyone’s setback or failure. Life is full of challenges and you have to stay stronger to overcome them. I blocked you without giving closure cuz I don’t wanna have anything to do with you again after several advices,” she said.

She questioned the accusation that she damaged Mandy Kiss’ life, insisting she had no such influence over her.

“You claimed I sp*il your lif3, how? Like how? I never introduced you to any man, not even once. I kept quiet for 3years!!! YI YO EKUN, BI TOJO KO!”

Awelewa also challenged Mandy Kiss to publicly explain what she allegedly did wrong, adding that she had helped her at different points, including linking her to endorsement opportunities with brands like De’millionaire and Toplady’s Hair.

She further alleged that she became aware of certain personal habits and chose to distance herself, stressing that her intention was always to help.

The actress added that she has been through her own struggles, including depression and financial hardship, and would never intentionally wish harm on anyone.

She concluded by urging Mandy Kiss to move on and take responsibility for her actions, insisting she would no longer engage further in the matter.
