A peaceful protest was held on Thursday at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, led by activist VeryDarkMan alongside members of the Ratel Movement and other concerned Nigerians.
The demonstrators gathered to demand urgent action over the continued captivity of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State, who are reportedly still being held in a forest without any clear progress on their rescue.
They called on security authorities to intensify efforts and launch a coordinated operation to ensure the safe return of the victims.
During the protest, VeryDarkMan also raised wider concerns about the state of the nation, highlighting rising living costs, economic hardship, and growing public dissatisfaction with governance and accountability.
He questioned the authorities on their response to insecurity and the broader socio-economic challenges facing citizens.
Security personnel were visibly present around the Defence Headquarters as the protest proceeded peacefully without any reported incident.
