Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to appoint Andoni Iraola as their next manager, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Iraola, who has been without a club since leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season, is expected to take over following the departure of Arne Slot, who guided Liverpool to a fifth-place finish.
The Spanish coach enjoyed an impressive campaign with Bournemouth, leading the Cherries to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League.
The South Coast club also enjoyed a strong run of form in the second half of the season, going 18 matches unbeaten while climbing up the table.
During his time at the club, Bournemouth also added players such as Brazilian international Rayan and forward Eli Junior Kroupi, both of whom impressed in the latter stages of the campaign.
Iraola is now set to embark on a new challenge at Anfield, with talks understood to have progressed significantly over the past 48 hours, with an agreement now in place for him to succeed Slot.
