Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has accused her estranged husband, actor Freddie Leonard, of stalling the legal process surrounding their divorce while also alleging that he is romantically involved with a married woman who has four children.
In a post shared on social media, Peggy claimed Freddie initially dismissed her accusations and allegedly enlisted the help of a blogger to portray her claims as false. According to her, his reaction changed after he was served court papers relating to the divorce case.
“So called traditional Igbo man with another Igbo man’s wife with 4 children, you ran to a blogger that I was lying but when you were served & saw details of my petition, you knew I had seen 1 out of many, yet refused to show up in court but sent your lawyer.
You said you wanted a divorce , yet you didn’t show up when you were served, please don’t avoid customary court for the 2nd time on June 23rd because I’m coming with receipts & let’s make this Divorce done & dusted . So both of you can finally be together.”
Peggy further alleged that despite expressing a desire to end their marriage, Freddie has failed to personally attend court hearings connected to the case.
She called on the actor to appear at the next hearing scheduled for June 23, insisting that she would present evidence to back up her allegations and urging him to help bring the divorce proceedings to a conclusion.
