Popular TikTok streamer Peller has lashed out at rapper Odumodublvck for backing YCee’s controversial “Olodo Uprising” comments, accusing the rapper of hypocrisy and claiming he once sought his help behind the scenes.
The exchange began after Odumodublvck publicly endorsed YCee’s remarks by posting:
“OLODO UPRISING
YCEE TALK FOR THERE
SCORE: A1”
Peller, who felt disappointed by the endorsement, alleged that Odumodublvck had contacted him about three months ago, praising his work because he wanted the phone number of his partner, Jarvis, for a job opportunity.
“The fact I respect u ehn, this one wey u do make me know the kind person wey musician be. I swear to God this same person called me about 3 month ago hyping me saying I love what u do this and that, because he wants Jarvis number, he wan give Jarvis work. She bill u. Since then u don dey see us as bad people.”
The content creator also criticized musicians who expect influencers to promote their songs without payment while making money from their music.
“If una song top chart una dey give anybody inside the money? This whole stuff make me know musician dey suffer nah. Like 10 to 15 musician get money for this Nigeria, the rest they want free things ehn.
“Make I use my 15 million followers page post u for free? U are making money and we also need to make money.”
Peller further claimed that some artists ignore his invitations to appear on his livestreams but suddenly reach out when they have new music to promote.
“Nah me know the kind person wey I go use their sound without asking for money because they don show me love tire and some of them are kind. If I said I want u guys on my stream u guys will ignore the message, con reply me when una wan drop music.”
