Nigerian music star Peter Okoye has set social media abuzz after announcing that he has switched the date he observes his birthday.
The singer shared the update on Monday through his X (formerly Twitter) account, making it clear that the change is already in effect.
“I am officially changing my birthday date.
“I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day.
“My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding.”
No reason was given for the decision at the time of his post.
The announcement comes as tensions continue between him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, following their ongoing fallout.
